Re: Holley 94 Modes?

The carb (whatever it is) has #51 Jets and what looks like a #758 Power Valve.

Here’s a whole ‘nother question

8BA motor and no fuel pump or push rod. The motor was this way when I got it. I have learned that the hole/bushing must be plugged to keep large amounts of oil spewing upwards (it never has been but...

Re: Holley 94 Modes?

Holley 2100, maybe it’s not a 94 at all, I just assumed. I know that it has a proper port for the Load-O-Matic distributor (now replaced by SBC unit). It also has LIST 742 on it. Bores are 1.20-1.25”...

Holley 94 Modes?

Per Ron’s suggestions in his book I’m going to be using the stock 94 on my new build for at least the first 500 miles (I also have a 97 and a 48 available to use but Ron seems to favor the 94 which...

Long Reach Plug

Bought a new set of Edlebrock 8.5 heads which take a long reach plug. I would like some advice on what plug to run. We are using one of Charlie’s SBC distributors with points. Max 1 cam, Reds tube...

Re: chevy dizzy for flatheads

I am running one of Charlies dizzy right now and it’s great (with points). He backs off the advance to about 23 degrees total so you can tune at idle 0-3 degrees advance. Charlie will not do an...

Re: Evans Aluminum Heads

FWIW Edlebrock make 2 different heads 1115 with 64 CC and 1116 with 75 CC. They are in fact the same casting but the 1116 chambers have been hogged out some. We are currently dealing with some 1115...

Re: 4 Barrel Carb?

Tubman, that is exactly the question I’m asking; what carb should I look for (chances are that someone reading this has one to sell). The manifold flange is indeed square but the carb is a bigger...

4 Barrel Carb?

I have a Navarro intake (it’s old but you can still buy the same one, it’s the one with the bracket for off side linkage (why you would want that I haven’t figured out)) It uses a butt ugly adapter...

6V Alternator?

I appreciate that not everybody agrees with this but my boss has decided that he wants to use a 6V Pos. Grand. Alternator (that looks like a generator) on his ‘51 F-1 with 8BA. I much prefer US made...

Re: Head bolt/stud sealant

That does look like an interesting product. If I can locate some, I’ll give it a try.

Head bolt/stud sealant

It seems that there are many different opinions about what to use to seal the head bolts (or in this case, studs) are sealed. Some say just use anti seize and some recommend something else. Full...

Re: 1931 model a engine

I re-torque the cylinder head bolts, nuts every time I change the oil. Making it a part of the oil change process keeps me on a regular schedule.

Re: Tillotson carb
