I appreciate that not everybody agrees with this but my boss has decided that he wants to use a 6V Pos. Grand. Alternator (that looks like a generator) on his ‘51 F-1 with 8BA. I much prefer US made parts if they can possibly be located. Suggestions on which one to buy and the best place to buy it? Thanks

Try E.J. Whitney in Fullerton, CA https://ejwhitneyco.com/automotive.html. They may have what you're looking for. I've had one of their 6 V alternators on my truck for 9 years.

These guys have one but it's not cheap. And its a Power Master. I don't know anything about their alternators but their starters are junk. IMO
