Universal joint cover ?

Hello, adapting a later banjo (1940) to a model A. Is there a difference in the U joint cover or the bell that mates to the Model A trans?

I think '78....but some of the ones I saw in that era were different where they mounted, I picked one with points that looked right. Inthe past I have used CJ2A Willys Jeep distributors but on 12V...

NKAMINAR, Thanks for chiming in with short concise info. Yup std. old shiny metal condenser, was more concerned with how the charging system reacts to reverse polarity.

It's all stock. I will see what advance the distributor has and limit it. I think I read 29' is about the max?

It is a points dist. Are you suggesting I would need to reverse polarity? I was hoping to leave it pos ground to not affect charging.

Try not to laugh. For reasons of my own I am considering putting an open or torque tube '40 rear axle under my Model A but want to retain the 4 wheel mechanical brakes. I am aware of the torque tube...

What closes off the area between the door and the sub rail. With my door closed I can see the ground through the gap. No other cars locally to look at.

I'm with rotor on this. I have a vacuum bleeder and a mityvac. Both suck air and give a false indication by showing bubbles unless the threads are sealed. Just keep the tape away from the bleed hole...
