Quick Question ? Are you dealing with a 9 inch or larger clutch plate ? I know back in the mid 50s on my Merc convt. I changed many transmissions . Do not remember having that much trouble!

Tim , My son just went through for his 32 Tudor which is somewhat of a Hot Rod and did it through Tyree Harris (sp) and he did it as a custom harness and had a small fuse box for some add on Items...

I use an original front transmission Spline piece to check and align the clutch Disc to be sure it is aligned up and slides in and out once the pressure plate is bolted to the flywheel. kerk

Clem, I have the one that mounts on the floor board to the right of the Gas pedal if you need one. It is adjustable and worked fine for me on my 32. Just let me know. kerk

My though is welding it together with the Spline being a solid (thick) piece of steel being welded to a (Thin) hollow shaft thin tube it should be Cooled at the same rate or normalized after welding....

Lawson is right and I have usedat least 3 -maybe 4 . Well worth the money! Had it in my 32 for 15000 + miles and also in 2 different 35s . Will look and see if I can find the info. kerk
