I own a 1923 Model T . I recently toured with a group in Ohio and came to the conclusion I should consider secondary brakes. I ordered Rocky Mountain- I started putting them on this morning and reading the instructions; the second sentence says, "Hassler shocks can not be used with the additional brakes". I have these shocks on the car. Two part question, is there a modification to use both that is available????? If not; which would you prefer?? After seeing they will not go on I contacted Langs and ordered emergency brake shoes with lining, the ones on the car had no lining. Emergency brakes shoes with lining would help in an pinch, but only a little. All suggestions appreciated.

I wonder if the larger drum, 26-27, would fit over the shocks???

Have you seen AC brakes? They fit on the outside of the standard small Ford drums. There should not be a clearance problem with them. They are available at about $325 There is a picture of them at larrysoldies.com .
