Default Attention Georgia Fordbarn members.Do you recognize this 28RPU?

I am trying to find out who the previous owner of my early 1928 roadster pickup was.I bought it from a man in Mississippi who got it from his deceased brother in law in Georgia, near Atlanta.I have lost the brother in laws name and info.It appears to have been restored in the 60s or 70s.It was in Georgia about 5 years ago I believe.Someone told me it looks like one that was in Alabama about 10 years ago and had a top at that time. I did not get a top with it and if the mans widow still has it lying around I would like to find out.The man I got it from has failed to get back in contact with me so far.
If it looks familiar to you, send me a PM.It has an early number,145XXX

You are incorrect, RPUs were built very early on. I know of one in the south that has a four digit serial #.

Also, there are several very early closed cabs we know of as well, four digit #s.

Steve, I really like all your toys you have shared, but I gotta say I love that shop floor, I think I could eat off of it. It beats the crap out of my pea gravel covered with masonite....

BTW I too am an AMCA member.......

That is the number on the engine.I have been meaning to look for the one on the body to see if it is the same. This number makes it a May build,is that correct? This is a real solid ole truck.Very few dents, even in the bed.It has been treated well over the years.

28RPU, you are in the right ballpark, May-JunE '28. I was only teasing about "late model". It is not hard to find correct parts or your truck. Actually, it looks good and probably doesn't need much.
