My daughter was too young to get into the rumble seat the traditional way when she first started riding in a rumble seat. At that time, we would only allow her in the rumble seat if accompanied by an adult or her brother (who is 10 years older than she is). She developed her own method of crawling up the right rear fender to get into the rumble seat. It is a good thing that the coupe was not a show car. It ended up with a few scratches on the fender from her shoes. She is now 12. She has driven a Model A. (off road, and thus legal)

She has informed her brother that our 1929 Phaeton is hers after I am gone. She goes to shows and on tours and I think she will be in the hobby long after I am gone.
