New perch pins
Has anyone used the repro original style perch pins? Mine are pretty wallowed and thought I'd give them a try.

Re: New perch pins
Yes, I used a pair for a customer and had to modify them for use. I don't recall exactly what I did as this was some years ago, but I think the round shoulder by the shock link ball was too thick, and I had to grind it away some.

Re: New perch pins
Doesn't sound like too much of a headache. Anyone else have experience with these?

Re: New perch pins
When I compared a repro perch with a NOS one I have, the repro has a bulkier look to it.

Re: New perch pins
I bought a new repo pair from a supplier in southern Ohio and installed them on my Coupe. During the first right turn I heard a "pop" and lost some of my steering. I discovered that one perch had sheared off at the axle. It turned out that they both were cast, not forged. Bratton's supplied a forged set and I have 50K on them without a problem. The Bratton's parts fit perfectly. Gar Williams
