Modern stle points sold by NAPA 1957-1970 PART #
I just put in a new dist .from Synders ,the modern style . Put in ,no fire to the points .Called Snyders they said I screwed the wire from the coil into the dist to far which is possible . After having to disassemble a brand new dist I found the connection for the wire from the bottom plate to the top plate was touching the housing.Manufacture error . Bent it away from housing and reinstalled and got the car running .In the process it appeared to me that the points furnished with the dist . are not very robust . So I went down to NAPA to buy points for a 1970 ford v-8 ( per Les Andrews book ).There is more than one set of points for ford from 1957-1970 .The part number for the points I bought is CS755 . Are these the correct points ?If not does any one no the part number for the correct points. Thanks

CS755 is the correct NAPA (Echlin) number for the "modern" points. These have a vented fixed contact. CS751 is the version with a solid fixed contact.
