Default What is a Ford aluminum intake worth

I have a Ford 37 to 39 aluminum intake manifold with a crack. Should I throw it away or is it fixable. The crack is on the passenger side between the first and second bolt holes from the back. If it is junk out it goes.

I don't think they are especially valuable, but why not give it away to someone who needs one?

I see them selling here and on eBay often for $30-$50. The crack may lower its value to whatever scrap aluminum is selling for. I would give it to someone who thinks they can fix it by welding or clean it up, glass bead it and make it a wall hanger. They make nice garage art especially when they have a nice SB97 sitting on top

I broke mine completely across ahead of the fuel pump when dealing with my annual spring fuel pump issues. Product of hurry up and not get the line up pegs in the holes. It did not affect the runners, so I put it on in 2 pieces to get it going. I didn't have another stock aluminum on hand, they just look so much better. Anyway, I had forgotten about it, ran it, took it off a year and a half later and surprise! I haven't scrapped it, put in that "someday.." ( i'll do something with this) pile. Nothing functionally wrong with it.

I used a cracked one to practice my polishing technique before messing up a high dollar intake

If anyone is interested in this manifold. Please let me know. I think it is shame to throw away a manifold which I think can be fixed easily by someone who knows how to use aluminum brazing rods.
