Picture posting trial
My computer literate son (aged 54) said my problem with posting pictures was the setting on my camera. I was trying to send too many whatchamacallits. I'll try here again. If it don't work I'll delete it right away.
Now that I have performed the miracle of postint pictures, I'll try to explain what I have here. This is a felloe for a 1926 Model T. However, rather than having holes in it for the wood spoke tenons, it has 'Dimples".The spokes have modified tonons shaped to match these "Dimples". Who made these wheels and what was the advantage, if any, of this design? Last edited by David Martin; 01-07-2012 at 05:35 PM. Reason: Supplied additional information. |

Re: Picture posting trial
You come up with the darndest stuff. Are you going around the country looking for this stuff or were you lucky enough to just end up with it? Or is it just that i haven't seen it and it's pretty run of the mill stuff.

Re: Picture posting trial
One of our members in the Fox Valley Model T Club bid on a group of about 20 old wheels at an auction two years ago and got them all for five bucks.I'm getting quite an education while having a heck of a good time playing with them. I may wind up being the go-guy to re-spoke wheels in my neighborhood.
