Default Door skins help

Mornin Guys. Have a set of door skins in transit to me from Howell's for my 31 pickup, ya ya I know, lol. Want to get started removing the old skins and sand blasting the frames this weekend. These are the larger skins that tuck up just below the uper belt line. How far below the belt line should I cut to be safe. I really need to get started on this part of the build.

I'd wait until I had the skins in hand.Who's to say they are perfectly square,or worse,to find they are a half inch shorter than the piece you cut off.If they're not square, you can just make your cut to match or trim them until they are square. If you are just opening it up to blast it,and you absolutely KNOW they reach the beltline, cut it a couple of inches below it,then trim to fit once you have them.

Before you cut anything, have the panels in hand and inspected closely for fit and the lower bead, you may be disappointed with the quality of the parts. Check the post on this site for comments about
Howells.
