Default 1940 Ford Wheel Cylinder question

Where is a good place to buy all the internal parts (including the alum. plungers) for rebuilding 1940 Ford (car) wheel cylinders? Thanks.

Your local parts house should be able to order the kit
Dorman part# 35108
Raybestos Part # WK115

Neither kit includes the aluminum pistons. If you need them, you are probably better off buying new wheel cylinders. Try http://rockauto.com/ for them.

Thanks for the info. I am hoping that I can locate the alum. plungers since the wheel cylinders are in very good condition.

40 or so years ago you could buy w/cyl. pistons seperate but not today.

you would have to get new cylinders and remove the alum. pistons. Which would be foolish.
