Are there any other wheels that will fit on the 1938 1 tonner?

I'm pretty sure you could find 19.5" tubeless tires/wheels from an old Rv (78 and older) Dodge etc. with the correct 5 lug -8 pattern.

I've got a couple sets of these, one extra set if you need them?
I'm guessing your 38 has 7.50x20 tires (thats what my 38 COE has) and I think that the tires ( 8R )I'm going to put on the 19.5" wheels I got will end up being 1" shorter than the 7.50 tires so overall ride will be .5" lower than original.
(or was it higher???, now I can't remember/ )

, but that all may vary slightly based on each individual tire brands and type etc.

38-47 Tonners use a unique 17" split rim wheel. As far as I know...that's the only wheel that will work.

I was going to ask the same thing as my COE has 20" wheels with the 5 on 8 pattern....
I was told the same thing about the older 70's motor home wheels fitting it and sounds like it is true.
The 1 ton trucks may have a 17" wheel ,that I am not sure of but the 1 1/2 and 2 ton trucks have a 20" split wheel for sure.

OK, maybe I'm confused!

I guess my 38 COE must be a 1.5 ton?? (sorry for my momentary confusion)
since it has 7.50x20's on it ?? I haven't pulled the tires wheels off yet but just looking at them they look like the standard 5 on 8 ?? which I very well may put on the 19.5 rv wheels and tires since I have them on hand.

otherwise I would be using these vintage 1964 treads on 22.5" tubless wheels/tires.
