Default Painting Project Update

I was hoping this would be the last update, but I ran into a bit of a snag, but that wil be a separate post. Here are photo's of the truck in its new color scheme. For a first timer like me, I am fairly happy with the end result. I can't wait to take it out and about.

Happy 4th! Especially to you veterans out there.

Bob

Pete, It is gunmetal blue which was one of the original colors.

Also to all, I neglected to give a thank you to Marco and his awesome website for the great set of photo's showing in great detail how to put the roofing material on. They made it very easy.

Very nice color choice. My dad, who died in 1981 at age 74, always wanted a car that color. In fact, when I was cleaning out his shop after he died, I found an ancient quart of enamel in gunmetal blue, unopened. I have no idea when he bought that, but it represented one of his dreams that he never realized.

Gary, If you ever decide to, please let me know. I learned so much on this one it is amazing. The second one (don't tell my wife) will be much better, but I can look everyone in the eyes and tell them that this truck was 100% my and my sons work.

I used dupont centari paint which I thought was fairly easy to use.
