Question Assembly Help?

I am not sure what is supposed to hold down the metal plate that goes on the floor board around the shifter and emergency brake. Any help or maybe a photo or two would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks and have a great and safe weekend.

Bob

It is not screwed down. There are three tabs that are riveted to the upper (1) and lower (2) floorboards. These tabs rotate into position to hold the plate down and also allow for easy removal.

there are three tabs that swivel to hold the plate in place
they are riveted to the floor board
the two on the bottom pictured are just screwed in ,the original on the top is correct and riveted

Rivets are best but I was in a hurry to get mine on my huckster so I used screws to hold the tabs down. Problem with screws is they become loose when you use them and have to be tighten often.

Guess the old stubborn dutchman has to go full speed ahead when into something and doesn't look for the harmonious outcome-at least that is what my wife tells me!
