For 35/36 car anyone know who has the best fitting firewall insulator. I purchased one for a 34 2 years ago and the holes were way off. Do not want to make that same mistake again with a 35/36.

I asked this same question some weeks back, it appears there is two types available, fibreglass and ABS plastic. I was advised the ABS is the better of the two. I have ordered and still awaiting delivery so have no first hand knowledge as to fit etc. One would think that for the price of such an item that it should fit correctly! Which one did you purchase for your 34? Brian

I used the ABS that I bought from Drake in a 35 sedan I had.I believe Carpenter makes it(not Drake). The only hole that was a little off was the one for the wire loom (dash to engine).I found the ABS one to be to shiney so I wiped it down with lacquer thinner to dull it.The grommet did not fit as it should have but I made it work.I have the Fiberglass one in my 36 coupe which was in it when I bought the car and it appears to fit fine.
