Back Story:

I was built mid Aug 1948 but I can't remember where. I am Original Ford Blue, I believe it was called Barcelona Blue. I came with a 100 hp V8 flathead engine and the transmission was 3 speed on the tree. I spent some time in Kingman, AZ out in the sun, Then moved to Green Valley, Arizona where I was found in Mar 2007 and brought to Heber City, UT. I am now registered with 1948 California plates. I was rust and dent free but needed a real restoration. So the process begins. Rip out the ragged old headliner. Now that led to a whole bunch of things. We ordered a new headliner kit from LeBaron Bonny. As you know, it wouldn’t be right to install the headliner without replacing the window glass. I ordered new window channel felt kits for the glass. You shouldn’t replace the glass and then go for paint. So new paint. Wow, see how this is going! New carpet and door panels. polished stainless steel and re-chrome bumpers. Looking great. In 2012 my ole flathead was getting tired so off to a shop for a rebuild and add a Isky cam. Sent the speedometer out to calibrate and set back to zero miles. Now estimated to be 140 hp. rebuild the transmission and drive train and dual exhaust then back on the road. Over the next few years I added a dual master cylinder and front disk brakes, 12 volt conversion including a 125 amp alternator, Vintage Air conditioner was added. Then in 2018 Added power steering and also added Offenhauser high rise intake manifold with a Holley 4bbl carb and Offenhauser Heads. This boosted the horse power to an estimated 175 hp. Added a lot of period options to dress me up. I'm a beauty but not a trailer queen.
