Default Shout out to Paul Shinn

I recently got back into the Model A world after a lengthy hiatus. I can't tell you the hours I've spent on Paul Shinn's YouTube channel watching his videos. Talk about a wealth of knowledge and common sense!

Paul approaches the Model A from the simplest (and it is a simple automobile) aspect and doesn't overcomplicate things.

When he and his Dad would do the Q&A I loved watching and waiting for the next question, those two guys had all the answers (very sorry he lost his Dad recently and the Model A community lost a lot too).

Between Paul's videos and this forum, I am SO glad to be back in the Model A community and so glad for the answers I've received, guidance I've been given, and encouragement I've received! You are all a great bunch of folks!!

Sconners, welcome back to the fold.
I think that even though there is a wealth of information available from other sources, Paul's videos are right up there for helping show people how to keep their cars going. The fact that we can see what and how it is done is way better than trying to work out what the author of a book is trying to say.

Scott,

I don't feel worthy of such kind praise- Thank you, brother! And I am SO thankful that you are back!! I'm just doing what God wants me to do, using what little skill I have to help others. That's all.

Paul - I agree with others here. Your videos have inspired me as a fairly new A owner, and the next generation to embrace the magic of Model A's! 73 OM -

Scott (@sconnors) - Welcome back. While I've been a member here since 2010 due to having other old Fords, I acquired my first running Model A last August. This forum and Paul Shinn have provided me with more education than I could ever have hoped for otherwise.

Paul (@P.S.) - Thank you for all the knowledge and wisdom you've given me, both from direct contact and through reading your posts here and watching your videos.

Paul is the best thing to happen to the Model A family since the great Les Andrews manuals! I watch all his videos. He relates to a new generation of enthusiasts due to his fantastic communication skills . I really appreciate his emphasis on reliability and servicability as opposed to fine point appearance.

Wow, thank you for comparing me with Les Andrews. I am NOT worthy!! I am just a Model A guy with an iphone, nothing else.

By the way, speaking of Les Andrews.... Wait til you see this coming Saturday's video...

Here's a little hint- It is all about doing something to thank Les Andrews

You are worthy in my opinion.

I had put a Model A together last year. I'd restored numerous Ford V8's but this A was all new to me. Without your videos, I may have still been at it. With them? Car was done in little time and done properly.

IMO, there ae a lot of Model As on the road that wouldn't be there without Paul's videos. The movement owes him a lot.

You guys are way too kind! (gonna blush!). I'm just a guy who has an iPhone and loves sharing everything I learn about Ford Model As. That's all.

Sometimes i wish we had a simple "LIKE" button.
Paul, you are a humble man with a iPhone, driven by great enthusiasm.
You just might get me into a A--I helped a friend over 65 years ago on his 1930 Delux coupe with rumble seat. I learned lots of lessons--among them screw drivers are not chisels. The desire is never far from the surface.
Thank you

Thank you all! I am not worthy of such lofty praise. I am merely a humble servant. When it comes right down to it, YOU are the warranty!!

Bought my very first A a little over three years ago and started watching the Shinn videos before taking delivery. I can't imagine a better way to become familiar with the nuances of the car...and how truly accessible it is to a novice who wants to do their own work. BIG THANKS to Paul Shinn.
