Post this up over on the HAMB in the classifieds "wanted" section.
Plenty of guys over there running their hot rodded A's without hoods.

Re: Wanted: Hood for 1930 model a
How is it warped?
It is supposed to be curved at the front and rear to match the cowl and rad shell. The louvers are curved top to bottom too. The top edge of the side panels gets curved due to stretching from tight hinge loops. This can be fixed with careful heat shrinks at only the very edge. Take some time to understand some metalworking concepts and you will find what looks impossible to fix is more possible. I have some hints and resources in the technical section on my website. Keep in mind I thought my side panels were warped beyond hope. Then I learned some metal work stuff and I figured out how to make them decent and very functional. |
