I want the paint shop to get my roadster body and chassis painted , and back to me. I have been working on this project almost 20 years.

Got ya beat. Been working on my 56 over 40 years. There was 15 years in the middle where I did nothing to it. Hope to finish it before I croak.

Yeah, I hear you on the 15 year break, I took a 10 year break myself. Seems like something else came up that was more important, now at 75, time is most important.

I want fewer projects & boxes of stuff I'll never get to, and more room in the shop to do what and I want to do, instead of stuff I have to.

I'm hoping to get this lost Bird back from paint maybe for Christmas or New Year's.
Purchased as a barely driveable project in '19. The paint, engine and transmission all needed to be redone.
It went to a paint shop in early '20 then Covid happened and it was worked on for a couple years as staffing allowed until that shop closed down. After a long break for cleaning leftover sand out of nooks & cranny's it's back with the same painter at another shop.

I did that and it didn't help.
Somehow another unfinished project materialized in the space.

When I ask someone to help me hold something, or take a hood off/on it doesn't turn into a fuss.
