Default 1928 roadster top boot strap

My boot strap seems to be too short. It is 19 1/2 inches long. What length should it be?
If it is too short, where can I buy a new pair? (I have the hooks.)

I don't know what the strap length is. Maybe this link can provide a clue...the description includes the number "21". Reckon that means they are 21" long? At any rate, Mac's shows to be out of stock.

Straps on my 31 are 21 1/2". The 28-29's may be different.

On my 1929 the straps are 21" long, 7/8" wide and the black leather is 3/16" thick, finished on one sidewith a slightly poined end. Buckle is chrome. Thereare4 holes for the buckle pin and they start 2 1/4" from the pointed tip of the strap. Don't forget the chromed metal hook that goes to the 2 handles on the rear deck.

Thanks for the replies. It looks like mine is the same length as everyone else’s. Maybe I’m not folding the top down as tight as it should be. Thanks again.
