I just bought some heads I found on marketplace and discovered a pair of EABB heads in the collection. What is the difference between them and EAB heads?

Never knew there were EABB heads. Doubt if Ford made them. But, you never know.

Most EAB heads that I have seen also have a "D" or other letter near the EAB marking. All EAB heads I have seen had the same combustion chambers.

Took these pics myself, put a little saliva on my thumb and rubbed it over the casting to get the letter details to pop up better.

The extra "B" looks a little weird. "cars2cool", did you take these pictures yourself or get them from some other source?

To me it looks like they used the EAB pattern, then modified something and added the -B at a later date. Possibly at the foundry

Maybe you'll stump the experts here. Could you show us the combustion side?

Yes I can take some more pics tomorrow and put them up here then. Might not be able to see much detail as they are pretty corroded.

Here are a few more pictures of the cylinder heads I purchased the other day. Left picture is the pair of EAB-B heads. Middle picture is the underside of a EAB and 8BA head. Third picture that didn't focus is the top side of the EAB and 8BA heads.

It looks like a larger transfer area in the EAB-B pictures. Maybe a lower C.R. also.
