Default Mitchell Overdrive

What is the procedure to remove the driveshaft and pinion from the rear end?

The easiest way is using Mitchell's driveshaft/pinion puller. Used it on the last two jobs, it works perfectly and no rear end disassembly.

The instructions that come with the overdrive explain the process. It’s not difficult if you use Mitchell’s tool.
Follow his instructions an do not tighten the drive shaft bolts at the pinion until you have the radius rods connected to the front of the drives shaft.

Like others said, use the Mitchell Pinion removal tool. Steve used to loan them out but I don't know if he does that anymore.

Intructions;
