Are they stuck, or waiting for someone to pass?

I also need to tell them their center bumper badge is off center and crooked. But, I dont think they care.

Not to be more nit-picky than usual, but I believe the presence of the oval center bumper clamp makes this a 1929 Model A, not a 1928. Unless my eyes fail me, I think I see "1929" on the license plate. That bumper clamp is two vibrations away from being "ain't".

reminds me of my smaller shredder tractor after a day late autumn shredding...

Possibly a recovered theft. That car is pretty beat up for a new car, check out the dented up radiator core too.

Wouldn't the fluted lens make it a 28?

I believe some assembly plants used up their '28 supply of fluted headlight lenses into early 1929. I can't make out the shape of the crank hole cover to differentiate between the 1928 and 1929 designs. Still, though, 'kind of hard to get around that 1929 center bumper clamp, isn't it? 1928 = round, 1929 = oval.
'Love these mystery car detective (or is that "defective"?) sleuthing postings to identify years and even body styles. It hones our recognition skills - until you consider Ford constantly throws us curve balls with overlapping parts installed at various times on the assembly lines without being courteous enough to tell us restorers about the running changes.

It always amazes me, to see period photos with Ford Model A's, that are only a few years old, that have already had the living crap beat out of them
There must have been no 'car' people back then!

Or a farmer returning from the fields where he and his helper were using the A for a tractor to stretch fence wire through the woodlot, dodging limbs, etc.
