Not sure if this has been linked before, but well worth a watch. I watched at half speed to catch all the details.

Mart,
Neat film! Thanks for bringing it to our attention. P.S. Everything in it is '34. |

Great video! Towards the end it was interesting to see the guy using the striping machine. Would be nice to have one of those to stripe your own car. Thanks Mart.

Hand made cars. Not a robot in sight.
I wonder how those hard-working people made it home with all of their fingers and toes. |

Highlights for me were seeing the 8 valve seats being cut at once, the grille being pressed, which shows how hard it must be to reproduce one, the axle tubes being welded and the bells fitted, the three pieced of the rear body being welded, the big grinding wheel dressing the welds, which explains the marks on my 32 sedan roof and all the frame parts being pressed and assembled. Many many other points of interest.

My father didn't. His biggest regret... No more guitar playing.

Good job Mart!…..it looked like three guys in the car doing the interior?……there’s a long movie about The Rouge that’s very interesting……once I get started watching those old black & white films, I can lose a whole afternoon…….Mark

This is the film that Ford Motor Company showed in their Rotunda Building at the 1934 Chicago Worlds Fair.

Absolutely amazing from the engineering to the tooling to bringing it all together. Those men worked some long, hot hard days.
