Clutch disc
On the clutch disc.
I has a hotted upp 59BA with some classic stuff as Merc 4”, PM 7 intake, dual LZ, Scitilla magnet, Potvin 425 cam, E&S heads. I might port up runners and light the crank. I guess it might at best get 150 HP or so, but theme on car is a old street racer late 40’s. I like the sound a fast rew up. No burnouts but might like rew on gears. Truth is a more show than go. Very little used, so not much milage. Body is 1932 5W so a light car and Lincoln transmission 2.32-1.61-1.00 and 4.44 and 31.5” tall tires ( 7.50 ) Flywheel is a alumium old from Ford or aftermarket ( to a boat maybe ? ) ( I will install a cast surface ) but its light at 12 LBS. Pressusre plate is a 10” Aburn. Don’t know if they was ’better’ than the Fords or lighter or consider ”hotrod”. I has a source that has old Ford parts and he has a disc as I think NOS ( dont know year ) but guess Ford made and organic. I has not seen it. So the question is are the new after market ’better’ as they is call them advertised. -I has a tick of use old parts as much as possible. But many thing in this car is new as Ross pistons, thinner T/S rings, titan valves, bearings, new radiator cell, new ( my guess ) plastic China ’Firestone’ tires ( wish I had older set..) So allot of parts has to be new made or will be new for some resons. Last edited by 3W Hank; 03-13-2024 at 10:20 PM. |
