Mercomatic gear linkage bushing
1956 Mercury with auto trans, the gear shift linkage on the transmission there seems to be a rubber bushing that is torn. After searching I can’t seem to find one anywhere, seems like an easy fix. Any thoughts on a part number or where to find one?
Thanks all, Ryan |

Re: Mercomatic gear linkage bushing
my '60 is the exact same way. I disassembled, applied silicone grease to all the parts and reassembled. you may find a rubber grommet that fits. I was in a hurry to get the car on the road so I'll search for a grommet for mine this winter.
