it appears my new rings are a little to sloppy(0.006) in my stock pistons (3.6274) Summit doesn't have any - rock auto nothing , does any one have a 1-800 number for China lol

There is N O Chineseum, so your only options are N.O.S., of which you notice I have the best price in the Universe ---- and having them custom made / re - molded, which will run you triple to quadruple the price I quoted you...... Well --- you can always turn that block into a boat anchor...... |

those 40-over pistons are 3.665 in. bore. I was thinking that if you need a bit larger maybe a standard 292 piston would fit. BUT NO. The 272 has a 1.857" compression height where the 292 is 1.760".
EDIT- WRONG, 1.857 height is for the 256 motor, see my next post below.

That 3.62 bore and 1.86 compression height belong to a 256 motor. The summit pistons I inked above DO NOT FIT A 272 FYI another oddball compression height is a 292 HD Truck motor All this info is thanks to Mummert at http://www.ford-y-block.com/dimensions.htm
