How can I take the Messko Radiator Cap off a Model A? I have tried, but do not want to break it. Is there a technique? See Pics. Thanks, Jim

It should release like other caps. Try to get it off using a strap wrench. One of mine is tough to remove and comes off fairly easy using the strap wrench.

Thanks. I have read that some of these caps have an anti theft set up on them. If this cap is set up that way, is there something else i need to do? I've tried turning it with a strap wrench, lifting while turning, still not coming off.
Thanks |

Does the cap turn? I put an O-ring on my quail and I have to press down as I turn the cap.

Check if there is a small Allen bolt head on the backside of the cap. Some caps use that as an anti-theft device, as it's almost invisible unless you know what to look for.

Thanks for the help everybody. I finally got the radiator cap off, a little master blaster and some lite tapping on the cap and she came off. She was rusted to the filler neck.
