Has anyone used this distributor on a flathead?? It would be helpful to adjust for boost, cruise etc. with a supercharged engine.

What if it fails when you are on the road? Where would you get parts or help to fix it.

I checked the ad out. These appear to be OHV only; they have no offering for flatheads of any kind. The prices for the ones I looked at seemed to run in the upper 500 dollar range.
Now, if I could just get by their looks........ ![]() |

Couldn't he buy the Chevy one and turn it down to fit a flathead?

I don't see any reason that you couldn't fit one into a crab distributor. If they are direction sensitive you would use the Ford OHV plate. (anti-clockwise).
Also you could fit one in a factory 8BA distributor if the small diameter Chev one will fit. (clockwise) |

I like the idea that you can see what your motor is doing and it's programmability.
I could always add a boost timing module, but I'd like to see the real time ignition timing. |
