Default Me again, seeking help

Was there any sort of felt or rubber washer or seal at the base of the 32-34 or 60HP dipstick? Talking about minutia?

Thanks, Lawson

I didn't think there was, originally, but the previous owner had one on there, obviously home made. I do not recall having one on the dipstick of my 960 point (I believe it was) 1934, Canadian built, Tudor.
