Model B motor question
have a model B motor with a 28-29 A oil pan on it on a model A chassis. (Just bought it) I did not think that a ford a oil pan would fit . Anybody got any info on this. steve

My friend in California said he had to hammer out the A pan to clear the B rods.

out of tow and will not be back for a few days , so no pics.so any a pan will work, just hammer out the side or use jam nuts ? steve

If an "A" pan to be used on a "B" motor the rear gasket radius needs to be enlarged to fit over the "B" main cap. This will also need the "A" flywheel housing. The rod nuts are 12 point low profile, not "jam nuts" these are smaller in diameter but offer full length of thread.
