Default Carlisle, PE Spring Swap Meet

Anyone going to the swap meet in Carlisle, Pennsylvania April 20-24? I will be there on the 22nd and 23rd... large fairgrounds and usually a good swap meet if you can make it.

I will be there--probably 2 days. One with a friend who owns the '38 pickup I am helping with, and one day by myself so i can walk faster and see more.
It is a good event and signals the start of the car season. I live less than an hour away, so this is a definite part of my schedule.
The Ford show in June is also well worth the trip. Its a smaller crowd and less venders, but EVERY one of them is selling something FORD. No wasting time with SBC stuff.

Before I retired, I had always planned to attend some of these events, but now that I am, gas is too expensive to go (I live in southern Illinois), and I really am too busy trying to find a different State to live in (Tx or Ok), so there's a lot of planning for that and I'm afraid that if I took 4 days to go galavanting off somewhere, I might miss the chance to get affordable housing where I want to live.

Life is full of inconvenient decisions. Housing needs to rank above Hobby, for sure. If not this year, maybe you can team with a friend and make it another time. If you can only make ONE trip to PA, You must attend the AACA Fall Meet at Hershey, "Hershey" for short. It is the grand daddy of sway meets even in this internet age. For comparison--I "can" do all of Carlisle in a single day--if I move fast--don't stop to look at too much stuff, I can cover all the ground. In go tp Hershey for 4 days and KNOW I will not see it all. That used to0 frustrate me, but now I just accept it.
