Re: Roadster seat mounting
The seat base is riveted to the subrails and body cross channel. It has a raised flange around the front and sides to keep the cushion in place. The back is held in place with 4 metal clips riveted to the wood framework. I attached a picture of the seatback wood. You can see the metal clips needed to secure the seatback. There is NO wood frame used on the cushion.

Re: Roadster seat mounting
I have an original 28/29 and 30/31 seat frame. You didn't mention whether your car was a 28/29 or 30/31 - they are different. I have both kinds. Let me know if you need a picture of the type you have.

Re: Roadster seat mounting
I think the 28/29 seat back cushion is attached to the belt rail at the top and isn't really removable but can be set up to remove if a person wants it that way.

Re: Roadster seat mounting
Hello again, on the picture of mine, it does have the wood frame as in previous post .It is under the cardboard upholstery that screws to the wood from the rumble seat area. I think this car might be what you are building sort of a “flea market Frankenstein “but better than no car at all!
