I was wondering how to take the battery carrier out of the car on my 27 Coupe? I am not sure if it is damaged or not - looks like someone welded sheet metal sides to it to create a box.

Should be 3 bolts - 2 on one side & 1 on the muffler side. One bolt should be the ground strap connection - the remnants of sheet metal don't appear to be what's left of an original Ford battery box.

I have it loose but I can't figure out to get it out. It is in between the two frame rails and there is no space to pull it from the bottom or top. What am I missing?
