Drum Tail Light
I would like to see an "explosion" drawing of the Drum Tail Light.
When I press the brake pedal the left brake light works. The right one does not work. In stead the right light (below in the drum) works. What can be the problem? |

Re: Drum Tail Light
Sounds like the wires on the right taillight need to be switched around.

Re: Drum Tail Light
Yep, thats what it sounds like. A simple wiring or ground issue.

The Left Brake Light "burns". The Right Brake light is OFF. Instead the Right Taillight "burns" weakly. What may be the cause? |

Re: Drum Tail Light
Most likely a bad ground.

Re: Drum Tail Light
Sounds and looks like you have the brake light and tail light wires crossed for the right tail light. To verify turn on the headlights and then check the tail lights if the left lower light burns this is correct. However, if the right top light (brake) burns then the wires to the right light are absolutely hooked up incorrectly. Also note the brake light and tail light bulbs are not the same size i.e., brake light 21 cp tail light 3cp. The lower tail light being 3 cp will burn much dimmer than the brake light 21 cp.

Re: Drum Tail Light
Yep, what Frank said.

Re: Drum Tail Light
As advised I made a temporary ground wire. It works. The problem is a bad ground on the right drum tail light!
Thank You ALL for the HELP! |
