Default Briggs Town Sedan Door Sills

A while back I got a set of NORS door sills for my '30 Briggs Town Sedan at an extremely good price. (Bratton's wants $180 for them). The other day I started to install them and noticed the ones on the car had finish washers under the screw heads. They look to be nickel plated brass. The screw set Bratton's sells does not include finish washers.

So my question is, did Ford originally use the finish washers? They appear to be the same finish washers used on the window trim under the screw heads.

I have some S/S finish washers along with some S/S screws (Bratton's screws are galvanized) but now I am wondering?? They do look nice tho...
