I know its Monday but gonna start a new weekly post here and you must post a picture...SO I figured I'd start it today to give you guys a head start in digging out your old photo's OR to scan them as you run across them in an old drawer, book or photo album. This is a 39 Merc, Minus engine and trans, my dad bought in 1971 and the bill of sale which I think he paid too much for!!! What do you think??? Any interesting story attached to the car is certainly a bonus!! IF you have "more" than one (hopefully) don't blow them all at one time, save them so each week we can start a new one!!!

Paid $100 for this one in 1970. Should have kept it.

I don’t have a picture, but I missed out on a 51 Tudor , six cyl flathead, running condition in 1975,
I believe the price was $500. Ended up buying a 55 instead. |

Hoop, that looks exactly like the one my dad had when I was growing up. When the 7th kid came alone, he traded his in 1962 for a 1958 Merc wagon in Central Ohio. Don't know why, the Merc had fewer seats and it really liked its gas, less than 10 mpg in town.
