Aluminum radiator swapout
Got the aluminum radiator installed this week, everything looks good as far as temp. readings. Drove the car around at slow speeds and hi-way speeds. Let it set running after the hi-way drive and it stayed at 170 deg. got above 180 driving slow, but dropped back to 170 after speeding up. Well i tried to upload some pics. and they failed to load. Maximum file sizes are listed on the attachment popup. Most photos are jpeg file, so maximum file size is 585.9 KB or 600 x 800.

Re: Aluminum radiator swapout
I'm using a HP laptop, I'll try to re-size and see if that's the problem. I've posted pics. before. I think I may have them posted. I wanted to show the gauges positions after running the car on the road test and letting it idle after 10 min. and see if it over heated, looks like its going to be ok. I was surprised at it taking 5 gal. of 50/50 mix to fill it up above the core tubes. Al

Re: Aluminum radiator swapout
It's a Champion brand, the zip ties are holding the passenger side head light wiring up out of the fans way. There is no harness loom on this radiator to hold the wiring, I put the wiring in the black plastic harness and fastened it to the bottom of the hoses for now. Need to find something more permanent, thinking aluminum channel would work. Al

Re: Aluminum radiator swapout
And what would be wrong with neatly re-routing the wiring in FRONT of the radiator, down low? DD

Re: Aluminum radiator swapout
back to photos, i use an old digital camera with the pixel count set on low and they load up every time, on every forum, with no resizing.

Re: Aluminum radiator swapout
I'll probably do that when I get back to it, but I wanted to get the radiator finished and tested. the under cross member is the best place for it. Al
