It seems like the springs are the same but the whole seat is not? I have an extra coupe seat and a friend needs a roadster seat.

If you mean the springs from a standard/sport coupe, no, they are not the same as those in a '32 roadster. Only the two rumble seat cushions are the same. (All of the '32 deluxe coupe seat springs are unique to that body type.) The seat structures in a '32 standard/sport coupe and a roadster are different on an order of magnitude of night and day and are not interchangeable.
