Default Hello All!

I'm a new member here and wanted to say hello to everyone before getting down to business.

So.... HELLO!

Now the business...

I need a passenger side (if side matters) MIDDLE, door hinge.
To be clear I need the one that attaches to the DOOR;
not the one on the body.
I'm not sure if the door I have came from a pickup or coupe.
The door is on my 1929 Pickup, fits great, and opens and shuts o.k.
It's just missing that middle hinge.

Although I have placed my needs in the classifieds,
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here are a couple of images. The photos is how it exists today.
My rendering is how I plan to finish it.

Gary,

This Forum was designed primarily for the stock Model A. While discussions do wander a bit, Might I suggest that you look at the HAMB site. This site is real heavy on the modified and rods side of the hobby.

Mike

You should try to convert him to our way of thinking instead of sending him of to those sinful HAMB people. He already likes model "A's". Sell him a door hinge and he will be able to see his errors in thinking and will come back and we can work on him.

Do not get me started on the stupidity of ethanol. I think one of the monitors is from Iowa and he will delete the thread.

Hey Gary, ...nice to meet you! Would you even consider disassembling your pick-up and restoring it to look & drive just like it did 80 years ago?

Gary, I personally favor keeping them as close to orginal as possible, but respect the thought that "If you bought it and own it, you have the right to rebuild it to your own ideas'. That being said why not consider at least looking into our side of the hobby?

Judging from the picture on the left that he posted it's already too late to save it as an original.

Based on the pictures he is set in his ways on that car. I just wanted to provide options for him with his choice of building direction. As for hinges, all the vendors sell them so the need for original units on that car is not necessary.

Thanks for the help on the hinge site. Most appreciated!

I came from "your side" of the hobby. I once had a 1930 Model a 2-door sedan.
I liked it a lot. For my entire life though, I wanted a hot rod.
If fulfilling your life-long desire is sinful and an error of thinking; all I can say is...
have fun with your cars. That's what I gonna do!!!

The only "real" sin is the OHV motor and disc brakes, but I do have my own predjudices.

As far as your truck is concerned, it's yours to do with as you like. I am a purist at heart so I have a tough time understanding the rod's. But that is just me. Don't be offended by some of the previous comments.

Do you mean Bert's model "A" store in Denver?
