This old trailer has sat in the bush for decades on my grandfather's farm. Only today I noticed that it is built on the chassis of an old Ford. Appears to be between a 40 and 48 judging by the hyd brakes, no wide fives, and torque tube differential. I wonder if those drums fit my 39 Deluxe? Will have to check the catalogue.

Lots of salvageable parts just in those two pictures. Sometimes the little stuff like the spring ubolts are nice to have.

Why is there a chain around the left axle housing? If its an anti theft device I'm thinking that being buried in the ground should be good enough to keep it from walking off.

It appears that small chain reached up to the ball joint of the front wishbone. I need to do a little more digging to get a better look under the rotting wooden wagon box and see what all Ford parts are there. Good to know the drums will fit my 39.
