Default I shortened my antenna

I shortened my mangled thu the roof antenna, I also figured out why it leaked, the black plastic piece was not fully seated in the roof. Took me a hour or so of cutting and test fitting, I used fence pliers to cut the solid piece and a small tubing cutter for the rest. It should still work, if I ever get the radio fixed.

It will probably work ok if you are parked in front of the radio station.

Back in the 60's guys would mount their antenna's on the underside of the car so it wouldn't show. Can't remember if it worked OK or not. That didn't matter, it was the "cool" thing to do until you could "french" the headlights and antenna. Another piece of "Ghetto Fabulous" poor guy customization.
After all that after school paper route didn't pay very much. Chap
