Wow;Looks like a concrete block building with a metal roof and it still burned. The fire would get in thru the eves... roof over hang. There's going to be some new building designs in these areas. Newc

This is such a catastrophe, so devastating, as the loss of life, property and
natural resources, is beyond comprehension. A very sad time for the people there. Prayers go out to everyone involved. .

I just drove through the Redding area last week on our way to the R.P.M. Nationals and the devistation in that area is hard to describe. I will say there are hundreds of men working in the woods there taking out slash, harvesting usable trees etc. And minimizing another fire as best they can. It's hard to believe a new fire close to that area is even bigger. Something has to change regarding managing our forests.

![]() Very sad site to see a burned out 1956 Ford Thunderbird. In addition to the cars, there are the homes and a lifetime of memories in photos and other keepsakes. Then, these car guys would have lots of memorabilia, tools etc collected over a lifetime. How does one start up again? And that is only from a males perceptive. The ladies would also have lost special items that were dear to their hearts. It is very sad that many lives have also been lost during these dark and testing days. Our thoughts and prayers are with these suffering families in California. |

Politics and weather. Firefighters have given up on the fires and have moved to saving life. God bless and god speed to the men.

One of things that still occurs is..... 1) Oh, here's a fire that just started 2) "we're" here but it's not our area.... we have to inform the authority in charge of that area 3) The considerable time that it then takes the authority in charge to respond has caused some real escalations in fire severity Hard to believe that happens, right?
