ok so not really a fuel pump issue, but and issue. ive got myself a lil speedster built and had to put a fuel tank in the back down low as the original is not salvageable. so I got me a lil low preasure pump wired it in and put a switch under the seat. all good. however, I wanted to run it off the key that's a bit problematic the way the A works. ive put a 12v alternator on it and converted it to neg ground but the rest is stock. I just kinda wanted to do away with the switch under the seat, kids seem to leave it on more than they shut it off. anyone have any ideas?

Just get a different ignition switch.

Buy a ignition switch with an accessory position and wire the pump to the accessory position

If you have an original style pop-out switch it can be tricky. The wiring on my speedster has been modified so that the coil goes hot when the ignition is switched, so it was trivial to connect the fuel pump to the switch. My switch has two terminals with no accessory position.
