Great job! Spring has to be right around the corner.
Was your car built or assembled in Germany? The Berlin factory did produce some Model A before the move of the factory to Cologne in 1929. |

Looks Great! Is that water connection on the side of the block aluminum? That two blade fan, Is it steel or aluminum? If it's steel, take it off and replace it with a new cast aluminum. Those fans are getting old and they sometimes let go and make a real mess out of your engine compartment and hood.
Good Job, Terry |

Wunderbar!
Have you driven it around a bit to test for any issues?

Re: GERTRUD 1928 from northern part Germany ready to go
Very nice! FYI your lower water pipe is installed backwards and I think you have the incorrect upper water neck for a 28/29.
The water petcock should stick straight down and be the lowest point in the cooling system so it drains all the water. The upper neck looks too tall so the angle between it and your radiator is off but i might be looking at it wrong.

Re: GERTRUD 1928 from northern part Germany ready to go
We toured NE Germany last summer, including Preetz and Prohn near Stalsund, which is about one hundred miles east of Lubeck on the Baltic Sea. My great grandparents immigrated to America from Preetz in 1870, so we were curious about where they had originated from.
Congratulations on finishing your Model A! Nice work. I'm working on a 28 Phaeton in my shop this winter. |

Re: GERTRUD 1928 from northern part Germany ready to go
3.6rs,
I beg to differ. I am visiting in the UK at the moment and it seems to me the UK prices are, US prices + shipping + import duty + profit + UK VAT = 3 X US prices Example, a set of Model T front wheel bearings quoted this week is about $240 US(£170). The same set in the UK, I eas quoted £350($486US) Please correct me if I am mistaken and please give us the names of the UK vendors.
