For $82,500 plus fees and delivery will they at least repaint the generator case? Seriously, nice car but the interior is sorely lacking. With two bidders fighting over it it now becomes a "my d---s bigger than your's" thing. Gathering the parts and assembling them nicely, as was done here costs money. Some have that to spend and most don't. Could a shop build it for that? Price out just the engine parts and you be the judge. Bottom line- if you have deep pockets it was cheap money.

Wow, that is some serious cash. Nice stance, though.

Think it would be a hit at Vic's Barners Bash in Feb/Mar next year? You bet!

It is a more than fair price - given that the engine alone is worth North of $40K (I know - hard to believe, but price out a set of good original Ardun heads and a big SCoT blower). You could not buy the 3W and assemble all those engine parts for that money . . . let alone put the engine together into a "runner".

We sold the car at our sale on Thursday night, I drove it around the block a few times and all I can say is wow, that thing moved! The heads were Don Ferguson repops and the firewall/fenders were Brookvile. Everything else was the real deal. Still had he original 3W Murray body tag too. The car had a ton of interest, our pre sale estimate was light and it was no reserve.
Great buy in my opinion! |
