Default Brake rod supports-big truck

Any ideas on a liquid rubber or resin to restore brake rod supports
on a big truck. Might have to carve up some grommets if I could only
find them.
I would rather make a mold and pour some compound into it.
Something as hard as tire rubber or o-rings, they both are around
70 durometer.

Back before the interwebs gave me access to resources outside my neighborhood for parts I once used shoe-goo from my local sporting-goods store to do something similar. But if NOS is an option, that's what I'd do.

How's about that stuff that is used to dip tool handles in? I had some later 8BA wire looms where the rubber was shot. I sandblasted them to get he residue off and then dipped them in this stuff and they came out pretty good. It's a messy, fussy job to do right, though.

A round grommet will form to an oval hole with no trouble.

We've got em NOS but more expensive that barnfind08 ( he is Fred Wilner at Southside Obsolete) if it were me I'd buy NOS ones from him and save your old ones for a rainy day experimental project. Fred is a good guy and most importantly he has quality NOS parts
