just figured out why pushing on my ing. switch did nothing to release it theirs 2 different switches one has a push in spring and the bezel holds it in the other just turns in the dash about 1/2 a turn the spring loaded one is held in by the bezel the other like mine is held in by a spring wave washer both the switches are electrical the same from what I could determine the spring loaded one is for mercury

I think the Mercury switch has a position for accessory and the truck switch does not.
